Nanolymf Ltd. was founded in 2006 as a subsidiary of Shizim Ltd., with the mission to meet the challenges of enhancing the bioavailability of highly lipophilic drugs, by introducing the market with a novel controlled release double layered delivery system.

The new technology was developed by Professor Simon Benita from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, a well known researcher, who was granted the prestigious AAPS Fellows 2006 for professional excellence and outstanding scientific contribution, with a proved commercialization record of drugs DDSs (for instance as founder of Novagali Pharma - www.novagali.com).

Professor Benita has founded, designed, developed and tested a new-patented double layered (microencapsulation and nanoencapsulation) controlled release delivery system for oral delivery of lipophilic drugs, promoting intestinal lymphatic uptake, resulting in improved bioavailability.

Nanolymf's technology is able to bypass the extensive liver first pass metabolism, resulting in increased bioavailability following oral administration.

The Nanolymf novel technology is not only enabling patent extension by potentially improving oral bioavailability, reducing dose frequency or inter/intra subject variation, but exhibits marked advantages and addresses unmet medical needs by altering the pharmacokinetic profile of complex and potent highly lipophilic drugs undergoing presystemic degradation and first pass effect.

The company is currently raising additional funds from investors.
